Celebrating T Level Thursday: The Value of T Level Placements

This National Apprenticeship Week 2025, we’re celebrating T Level Thursday by shining a light on the incredible value that T Level placements bring to businesses, just ask Alice, our fantastic T Level student! At HB Accountants, we are passionate about nurturing the next generation of professionals, and Alice’s journey with us perfectly showcases why T Level placements are a win-win for both students and businesses.

What Are T Levels?

T Levels are a revolutionary qualification, combining classroom learning with meaningful industry placements. Designed in collaboration with employers, they ensure students develop real-world skills while gaining valuable experience in the workplace. Meet our T Level star Alice. She joined us as part of her Business and Administration T Level, and her experience highlights just how transformative these placements can be. Here’s what she had to say about her placement so far:

Question: Why T Levels?

Answer: “I loved the idea of getting hands-on experience in a workplace, as a lot of people my age don’t get the chance. I wanted to prepare for my future career in business while still learning.”

Question: What is the Best Part of your Placement?

Answer: “The people! My colleagues have been so welcoming and supportive (even if their jokes are questionable!). I’ve enjoyed learning about the different roles in an accountancy practice and even attended business networking events.”

Question: What Skills Have You Gained?

Answer: “From submitting tax returns to marketing the business, I’ve gained so many new skills. My confidence has grown, especially in communication – I’m no longer scared to answer the phone!”

Question: What are your career aspirations?

Answer: “Before my placement, I had no idea what I wanted to do. Now, I’m interested in accounting or marketing. This experience has truly shaped my career goals.”

Question: What advice would you give future T Level Students?

Answer: “Just do it! It’s the best experience – you’ll gain unique knowledge, make friends, and develop skills that textbooks can’t teach.”

What are the Benefits for Businesses taking on a T Level Student Placement?

Taking on a T Level placement isn’t just about giving back – it’s a smart investment in the future workforce. Benefits include:

  • Fresh perspectives and enthusiasm from students eager
  • Valuable help with tasks
  • Enhance your business brand image supporting local students

T Level Student Alice and HB Accountants encourages both students and employers to explore T Levels. Alice says

It’s the best experience—you gain real skills, make connections, and learn more than a textbook ever could
