Did you know that a fully monitored CCTV camera system was recently installed in our wonderful Hoddesdon town centre? A joint project from the team behind the Hoddesdon BID Board Love Hoddesdon and Broxbourne Council now sees a total of 12 cameras covering most of the town centre area, which are monitored on a 24/7 basis, 365 days per year.
Karen Chase, Director at HB Accountants sits on the Love Hoddesdon BID Board and says “I’m so proud to be part of the Love Hoddesdon BID Board. Helping keep the community of Hoddesdon town safe is such a fantastic initiative and just one of many projects that the BID Team, and especially BID Manager Tony Cox, work on behind the scenes to help Hoddesdon thrive”.
The brand new 12 camera system in Hoddesdon Town Centre is looked after by the Hertfordshire CCTV Partnership, using a wireless transmission system to communicate with the cameras.
The cameras are mounted on existing light columns and wireless transmitters and with the system using extended LAN technology to transmit from the wireless hub in Hoddesdon, will help make Hoddesdon safer for everyone.
