Team HB director Karen Chase takes on Charity Hike in July

On 11th July HB Accountants’ director Karen Chase and her sister Sarah will be striding out 18 miles for charity in memory of their father, Stephen…

Isabel Hospice provide round the clock care for the East Herts community – this past year has been one of the toughest environments to work in ever and they rely heavily on fundraising events such as this to enable their continued care supporting hundreds of patients and their families during hugely difficult times for them.

Why are Karen & Sarah HIKING?

It is so important to understanding how any money that we raise supports real people…

Did you know that £26 could pay for an hour of healthcare provided by 2 assistants for patients and £59 could pay for a Family Support team to give face to face support to a patient of their family member.

The Support that Isabel Hospice gave us in the weeks leading up to dad’s passing were invaluable. So, we aren’t hiking on Sunday morning in July just to chat and remember our wonderful dad, we are hiking, in his memory, to raise funds and awareness too.

What is the Fountain to Fountain Hike?

Garden House Hospice Care and Isabel Hospice come together to bring you the Fountain to Fountain Hike.

This brand-new walking challenge is set to take you through beautiful countryside, nearly 18 miles, from Letchworth Garden City (the home of Garden House Hospice care) to Welwyn Garden City (the home of Isabel Hospice).

Start/Finish

The event takes place on Sunday 11th July 2021 with walkers starting in waves between 8.30am and 10.30am to maximise social distancing.

Start: Broadway Gardens, Broadway, Letchworth GC, SG6 3PF

Finish: Coronation Fountain, Parkway, Welwyn Garden City, AL8 6HQ

Route

Following a predominantly traffic-free, countryside route this event will provide an outstanding but challenging days walking, whilst linking these two hospice towns.

Adults – £20

Children (under 18) – £10
