Karen has been instrumental in managing, training and supporting the audit and accounts team, overseeing everything, and engaging with clients. Her dedication extends beyond her professional role, she participates in networking events and community initatives and fundraising.
Karen Chase: The Director
Karen is passionate about nurturing young talent. With Karen’s support, HB Accountants has developed a bespoke Apprenticeship Programme, earning recognition as the East of England’s SME Apprenticeship Employer of the Year 2024 as well as the Department of Education’s Top 50 SME Apprenticeship Employer for the past 2 years in succession.

As we celebrate Karen’s five decades, it is the perfect opportunity to reflect on the people behind HB Accountants and leads us to ask, “how well do you know your accountant?”

- Favours her coffee stirred clockwise – always milk on coffee prior to boiling water
- Hates brownies, likes a Malted Milk

Karen Chase Celebrating her 50th and Fundraising
Karen has fundraised for many charites over the years. This year, to mark her 50th birthday, together with her sister and one of her best friends, HB Director Karen Chase is taking part in the 10-mile Pink Ribbon Walk through Hampton Court Palace on 26th Apri. She will be putting on her walking boots and is hoping to raise much needed funds and awareness for Breast Cancer Now.
Breast Cancer Now fund world-class research which is helping to discover how to prevent Breast Cancer. They offer expert support to everyone through their Breast Cancer experience. They can’t do this alone! By sponsoring Karen on her Pink Ribbon Walk, you can help change the lives of men and women and the future of Breast Cancer.
