Most of you know Catherine but say hello anyway especially as she is celebrating a very special personal birthday (not naming any numbers here but read on for some clues!) and as she nears her 21st work birthday.

Yes, you read that correctly. 21 years ago, Catherine completed her A Levels and not knowing what to do next, listened to her mother’s advice. In January 2003, she became a trainee accountant at HB.
“At the age of 18 I thought all accountants were boring and went along to the interview with the view that this really was just going to be an interview experience exercise. However as soon as I sat down with the management team I was pleasantly surprised at how ‘wonderful everyone was and quickly realised the career opportunities as an accountant were very good.”
She has not looked back since, which is very fortunate for us all!
Over the past 21 years, Catherine has successfully completed her AAT and Chartered exams, as well as enjoying lots of personal milestones such as getting married and having two wonderful children. Today, she works on the majority of the firm’s audits, assisting more specialist clients with their audit work. She also supports our award-winning apprenticeship programme, ensuring that the trainees receive exposure to all areas of the business in order to meet their own study requirements.
“As I hit a milestone birthday, I can look at my life and say that I’ve never been happier. Personally, I am so lucky to have a wonderful family and very supportive friends, and I honestly love my job and the super team around me, many of whom I count amongst my very closest friends. I am proud to be a Director at HB as I believe in all that HB stands for – always going above and beyond for our clients, for each other, and for the community around us.”
Please join us in wishing Catherine a Happy Birthday!
