Guidance on career paths is up there and students are keen for feedback to improve their skills. Students hope for a rewarding experience that prepares them for future employment.

This recognition was celebrated at a special event at the House of Commons on September 12th, 2023, attended by our marketing manager, Vicki, who collected the award on behalf of HB Accountants
The HB team is so proud to once again be a named finalist in the Apprentice Champion category at the Inspiring Herts awards.
Many businesses have vacancies for new staff at the moment but filling the roles is not as straight forward as simply finding a person. Businesses need to employ people with skills: the right skills for a particular industry or business task. Many industries are facing a skills shortage so the spotlight is now on understanding which specific skills local Broxbourne businesses need so that any gaps may be highlighted. This will allow local education organisations to provide the right courses to young people and local residents with the ultimate aim of opening up future employment opportunities.
We’re big fans of the apprenticeship scheme. A number of young people have now started their careers at HB this way, either as trainee accountants. Last September, we employed two new trainee accountants, Max and Taylor, on our apprenticeship scheme. This is what they told us about their first few weeks with HB.
